About Us
Upcycling for Mental Health & Community Care
At Human of Impact, we believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support and essential care - no matter their circumstances. That’s why we upcycle donated items into care kits, provide free mental health resources, and partner with mutual aid groups to ensure support reaches those who need it most.
Based in Seattle, we’re a community-driven nonprofit committed to sustainability, accessibility, and well-being - one care kit at a time.
🌍 Our Mission
We exist to bridge the gap between need and support by turning community generosity into tangible care. Every donation helps us:
✔️ Upcycle locally donated items into mental health and wellness care kits
✔️ Distribute free mental health resources to mutual aid groups, shelters, and schools
✔️ Promote sustainability by reducing waste and repurposing goods for meaningful impact
Through these initiatives, we create a direct, measurable impact on mental health, sustainability, and community well-being.
💛 Our Core Values
🌱 Community Care
We believe that mental health is a shared responsibility. Our programs ensure no one has to navigate struggles alone by providing real, accessible tools for well-being.
♻️ Sustainability & Zero Waste
We repurpose donated items into mental health and survival care kits - keeping valuable materials out of landfills and putting them in the hands of people who need them.
💪 Accessibility & Empowerment
We create free and low-cost mental health resources so everyone - regardless of income - has access to emotional well-being tools.
📦 What We Do
Mental Health & Wellness Care Kits
We upcycle donated items into care kits filled with essential hygiene products, grounding tools, and mental wellness resources. These kits go to mutual aid groups, shelters, and schools supporting individuals facing mental health challenges, homelessness, and food insecurity.
Mental Health Books & Resources
Our My Therapy Buddy activity books & book grant program provide engaging mental health tools for all ages. Schools, shelters, and underfunded organizations can apply for free books to support their communities.
More Initiatives in the Works!
We are always innovating and expanding our reach. Stay tuned as we launch new programs to serve even more people in need!
